Boys golf: ‘Rocks win close dual with Fishers

The Westfield boys golf team won a close dual meet with Fishers 151-156 Monday at Woodland Country Club.
Medalist honors were shared by the Shamrocks’ Andrew Lewis and Ethan Lutz and Fishers’ Shivom Patel; all of whom carded one-under par 35s. The Tigers’ Bryce Robertson shot 39 after a double bogey start on his first hole. Nick Fisher carded a 41 and Aiden Cox added 41 to round out the scoring for Fishers.
The Tigers are off for the rest of the week and are back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Heritage Christian.

Noblesville defeated Kokomo at Kokomo Country Club 153-198 on Monday.
The Millers were led by junior Clay Merchent led the Millers with an even par 35. Senior Jack Barnes was next with a 38. Rounding out the scoring for the Millers was junior Jacob Deakyne 39, senior Kyle Claussen 41, junior Joe Whallon 42 and junior Chris Canatella 44.

The Carmel junior varsity team won a three-team meet on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds scored a season-low 145, followed by Zionsville’s 157 and Guerin Catholic’s 178. Carmel’s Jack Crawford was the meet medalist with a three-under par 33.
Other Greyhound scores were Luke Prall 35, Sam Booth 38, Shoji Fujita 39, Nick Katsis 39 and Jackson Emerson 44.
