Boys golf: Golden Eagles, Royals, Shamrocks & Huskies all win their meets

The Guerin Catholic boys golf team easily won a nine-hole dual meet with Park Tudor Wednesday at Pebble Brook.

The Golden Eagles totaled 138 to the Panthers’ 167. Eli Wessel was the meet medalist with a 33, followed by Leo Wessel with a 34. Other Guerin Catholic scores were Jacob Modleski 35, Owen Nielsen 36, Zach Theime 37 and Will Parenteau 37.

Hamilton Southeastern beat Carmel 297-304 in a dual meet at Prairie View on Tuesday, with both teams carding their best score of the season.

The Royals’ Cole Starnes and the Greyhounds’ Joe Armfield both scored 69s. It was the first bogey-free round for Starnes, while Armfield holed out for an eagle on the 18th hole.

Westfield also scored a season low on Tuesday, beating Tipton 281-310 at Tipton Municipal Golf Course.

The Shamrocks were three-under par as a team. Jake Cesare scored 68 for medalist honors, while Alec Cesare and Will Harvey both carded 69s. Other Westfield scores were Cam Kooi 75, Ryan Cesare 76 and Matt Shull 77.

Hamilton Heights won its Senior Night meet Tuesday, beating Western Boone 184-194 in a nine-hole meet at Bear Slide.

Ethan Millsaps was the meet medalist with a 41. Kole Kirtley scored a 45, followed by Josh Steffen 48, Vincent Harley 50, Brayden Jewell 51 and Bryce Hutcherson 51.

Noblesville dropped an 18-hole dual meet to Zionsville 307-320 Wednesday at Harbour Trees.

Will Barnes was the Millers’ low man with a 78. Drew Werkley carded an 80, and Alex Peck and Drew Decker both scored 81s.

Noblesville will compete Saturday at the Mooresville Invitational at Heartland Crossing.
