George Kristo continues to do “Whatever It Takes” for local youth

Now through Nov. 30, the Tom & Soni Sheehan Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville will be participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages and celebrates philanthropy worldwide. The Club is hosting a campaign to do “Whatever It Takes for Great Futures.” Once again, this year, donations to the campaign will be generously matched by George Kristo.

“Year in and year out, George continues to amaze us with his generosity and commitment to our mission that focuses on academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles,” said BGCN Executive Director Becky Terry. “We cannot thank George, and his late wife Linda, enough for their impact that they’ve had on our Club and the 2,000-plus youth we serve each year.”

On Nov. 2, BGCN was able to kick off the campaign at its fourth annual Topgolf Tournament to ‘Tee It Up for Club Kids’ and more than $2,700 was raised for #GivingTuesday. This year, the Club’s goal is to surpass last year’s total of $21,000 that was raised on #GivingTuesday, including Kristo’s matching gift.

Last year, BGCN served 1,654 local youth with its affordable, high-impact after school programs. As a community staple for 70 years, the Club has offered local kids after school programs and opportunities to experience new things and be themselves in a place they can call their own.

A peer-to-peer fundraising campaign is taking place now through Nov. 30. Donations can be made by calling the Club, dropping off a donation, or donating online by visiting p2p.onecause.com/bgcnoblesville.
