Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville to receive matching donation on Giving Tuesday

George Kristo continues to help local kids “Dream Big”

Now through Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Tom & Soni Sheehan Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville will participate in #GivingTuesday – a global day of giving that encourages and celebrates philanthropy worldwide.

The Club is hosting a campaign to ensure that kids “Dream Big at BGCN.” Up to $12,500 in donations to the campaign will be generously matched by George Kristo once again this year.

“Time and time again, George continues to amaze us with his generosity and commitment to our mission that focuses on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles,” BGCN Executive Director Becky Terry said. “Words cannot express how thankful we are for George, his late wife Linda, and their impact that they’ve had on the youth we serve each year. At the Club, we want to ensure that all kids can Dream Big.”

This year, the Club’s goal is to surpass last year’s total of $26,000 that was raised on #GivingTuesday including Kristo’s matching gift.

In 2021, BGCN served 1,366 local youth with its affordable, high-impact after-school programs while serving more than 27,000 healthy snacks and nutritious meals. As a community staple for 70 years, the Club has offered local kids after school programs and opportunities to experience new things and be themselves in a place they can call their own.

A peer-to-peer fundraising campaign is taking place now through Nov. 29. Donations can be made by calling the Club, dropping off a donation, or donating online by visiting p2p.onecause.com/dreambigatbgcn.
