Sheridan returned home to Larry Hobbs Gymnasium, where the Blackhawks scored a rebound victory Saturday, winning 85-36 over Purdue Poly North.
Sheridan led 17-6 after one quarter, then took a 44-21 lead into halftime. The ‘Hawks outscored the Lynx 27-0 in the third period, with Caleb Wright scoring 10 points; Wright began the quarter with two 3-pointers.
“We just wanted to get back on track,” said Sheridan coach Bill Bowen. “We got two really tough games next weekend.”
Four players reached double figures for the Blackhawks. Trey Page made five 3-pointers on his way to 19 points. Caleb Wright and Damon Winston both scored 14 points, while Devon Hamilton added 10 points. Hamilton and Carson Wright each collected six rebounds, while Chance Spencer grabbed five rebounds. Hamilton dished out five assists and Winston blocked two shots.
Caleb Wright was honored after the game for clearing the 1,000-point mark earlier in the season.
“It’s awesome,” said Caleb Wright. “Tough accomplishment, not many people at this school have done it.” Wright said it was a testament to his teammates and coaches.
The Blackhawks are 5-1 in conference play and 11-3 overall. Sheridan travels to Taylor on Friday for another HHC contest, then hosts Covenant Christian on Saturday.

The Carmel boys basketball team split a pair of games this weekend.
The Greyhounds fell to Pike 48-41 Friday in an away contest but rebounded to beat Brownsburg 37-34 Saturday on Bill Shepherd Court at the Eric Clark Activity Center. Carmel’s game with the Bulldogs was close for the entire 32 minutes.
Brownsburg led 11-10 after the first quarter, then the ‘Hounds came back to lead 18-17 at halftime. Carmel was up 28-26 after three periods. The game was tied at 34-34 with seconds left in regulation before Ben Bremer drove in and made a layin while getting fouled. Bremer made the and-1 free throw to clinch the win.
Liam Mann led the Greyhounds with 12 points and reached double-double status with 10 rebounds. Aiden Dickerson scored 10 points, while Bremer collected five rebounds and blocked two shots.
Carmel is 8-6 and hosts Ben Davis on Friday before playing at Fishers on Saturday.

Fishers traveled to Fort Wayne Carroll on Saturday and beat the Chargers 72-40 for its 29th straight victory.
The Tigers led the Chargers 20-9 after one quarter and 34-24 at halftime, then outscored Carroll 38-16 in the second half. Jason Gardner Jr. and Justin Kirby both scored 15 points, with Millen McCartney and Logan Sigler each scoring 11 points. McCartney made three 3-pointers.
Fishers is 4-0 in conference play and 16-0 for the season. The Tigers play two home games this week, taking on Franklin Central Friday in an HCC contest and Carmel on Saturday.

Hamilton Heights dropped an away game Saturday at Maconaquah, 67-60.
The Braves jumped out to a 23-18 lead after the first quarter. Dreydin Serna and Gavin Saunders both scored eight points for the Huskies, with Saunders making a pair of 3-pointers. Saunders scored another six in the second quarter.
Maconaquah led 39-32 at halftime and 51-42 after three quarters. Heights outscored the Braves 18-16 in the fourth period, but Maconaquah was able to hang on. Rees Knapp scored seven points in the fourth, while Jack Kakasuleff scored six.
Saunders led the Huskies with 21 points, including three 3s, while Serna scored 18. Both players scored points in each quarter. Knapp totaled 11 points. Saunders led the rebounds with seven. Kakasuleff dished out seven assists and Carson Felger handed out six assists.
Heights is 8-6 and plays a Hoosier Conference East Division game Friday at Tipton.

Hamilton Southeastern hosted Mount Vernon on Saturday, and the Marauders gave the Royals all they could handle on the way to a 53-43 win.
The Marauders led 10-7 after on and also took the second 13-10 to go up 26-17 at halftime. Mount Vernon did enough to edge out HSE in both the third and fourth by a total of four, extending the final score to a 10-point margin. Mount Vernon was 16 out of 19 at the foul line.
Braeden Totten led HSE in scoring with 12 and four rebounds. Landon Osswald had 11 and six boards. Making up the majority of the remainder of the points were Jack Jacobs (7), Maverick Young (6) and Lucas Weemer (5).
Next up for Hamilton Southeastern (8-9, 0-4 HCC) is a Hoosier Crossroads Conference battle against Noblesville (11-4, 2-2 HCC) at home on Friday, then travel to Pendleton Heights on Saturday.

Westfield made it a perfect week with a 46-33 victory over Muncie Central on Saturday at CSI Gymnasium home.
Drew Haffner scored 12 points, followed by Will Harvey with 10, Durante Morton with nine and Jalen Malone with seven.
Westfield is 2-1 in the conference and 12-1 overall. The Shamrocks play an HCC game at Avon Friday.
