March 26, 1950 – January 13, 2021
Bobby Ray Sharp, 70, Sheridan, was called home by his Lord on January 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Bobby was born on March 26, 1950 to the late Charles and Lorene (Thomas) Sharp in Jonesboro, Ark.
Bobby learned the value of a hard day’s work from his father, which led him to start and operate Sharp’s Roofing Company. He soon began building his business, providing hard work and integrity. Clients knew they could trust Bobby to take care of their construction needs. When he was not working, he was spending time with his family.
Bobby and Marilyn would travel to different places to use their metal detector. The two of them have logged many miles together, just talking and spending time with one another. They found some interesting things over the years. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman. He looked forward to hunting season every year as well as trapping and fishing. He shared his love for the outdoors with his grandchildren; he especially liked to take them fishing. He also taught them the art of telling a good fish story. Bobby loved listening to country and gospel music. He also played the guitar; his family would enjoy listening to him play. Bobby loved his grandchildren; he could not wait to see them to play a good game of euchre.
Bobby was a loving father to Tina M (Jeffrey) Burk, Sheridan, and Julie A. (Michael) Pettigrew, Kirklin. Bobby was a proud and loving grandfather to Jeremy W. Garst, Sheridan, Wesley D. Garst (Jenny), Lebanon, Caleb M. Pettigrew (Kaylee), Kirklin, Natasha M. Burk, Sheridan, and Hunter R. Pettigrew, Noblesville. He was a great-grandfather to Dylan W. Garst, Alexandria, Fletcher White, Lebanon, Lillian White, Lebanon, Colton M. Pettigrew, Kirklin, Bennett Jacks, Fortville, and Oliver Garst, Lebanon. He was a proud brother to Eldon (Becky) Sharp of Illinois, Kenny (Robin) Sharp of Illinois, Erma Lee Reid of Arkansas, Paul Sharp of Ohio, and David (Stacy) Sharp of Illinois, along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding Bobby in death are his parents; brother, Charles Sharp Jr.; and sister-in-law, Helen Sharp.
Graveside services will be private. Bobby’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Everyone is invited to sign the online guestbook, leave a condolence, or share a memory at fisherfunerals.com. Fisher Family Funeral Services is honored to serve the Sharp Family.
So sorry, Marilyn. Will keep you in my prayers.
