Bobby Gene Hendrickson

Bobby Gene Hendrickson, a devoted husband, father, and joy-filled soul, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024. Born on April 1, 1938, Bobby’s life was filled with love and laughter, profoundly impacting his family and those around him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret, his sons Richard and Charles, his daughter Heather, as well as nine cherished grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A skilled machinist at Firestone, Bobby was known for his exceptional talent in solving complex problems, earning him the reputation of a master in his field. His dedication and expertise left an indelible mark on his colleagues and workplace.

Outside of his professional life, Bobby was an avid fisherman and hunter, who found peace in nature’s embrace. His quick wit and sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone he encountered, making him a treasured friend and a fun-loving prankster.

Bobby’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a family filled with love and gratitude for the time they had with him.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, with Kurt Larson officiating. Cremation will take place following the funeral service.

A private family burial at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Ind., will take place at a later date.
