University dropped its regular-season finale at Speedway on Thursday, 37-24.
The Sparkplugs led 14-5 after one period and 22-8 at halftime. The Trailblazers cut that advantage to 29-18 after three periods, with Sydney Culp making two 3-pointers, but Speedway outscored University 8-6 in the fourth.
Gabby Culp scored eight points, with Sydney Culp finishing with six.
The ‘Blazers are 8-13 and play in Class 2A Sectional 42 at Monrovia next week. University got a first-round by and plays the winner of Tuesday’s game between Cardinal Ritter and Covenant Christian in the Friday, Feb. 7 semifinals.
