‘Blazers cruise past Math & Science

University cruised to a Saturday victory at Indiana Math & Science Academy, by the score of 73-43.
The Class 1A No. 3 Trailblazers outscored the Knights in each quarter, leading 13-7 after one and 35-19 at halftime. Joe Martin led University with 12 points, while Korey Ash-Simpson scored 10. Quinn Steiner drained three 3-pointers for nine points. Sam Mervis added seven points.
Major collected seven rebounds and had two blocked shots, with Martin dishing out four assists. Martin, Ash-Simpson and Mervis all collected four rebounds.
The ‘Blazers improved to 9-1 and will play next weekend at the McDonald’s Hoosier Hysteria Tournament at Vincennes Lincoln. University takes on Borden at 7 p.m. Friday.
