Sheridan stormed through the second quarter of its game with Herron Thursday, cruising to an 87-39 victory over the Achaeans at Larry Hobbs Hall.
The Blackhawks outscored Herron in all four quarters, leading 19-9 after the first period. Trey Page was dominant, scoring 11 points in the opening quarter.
Everybody stepped up in the second period, with seven different Sheridan players combining for 31 points. Caleb Wright had nine points, while Devon Hamilton scored seven off the bench. When the dust was settled, the ‘Hawks led 50-19. Sheridan kept its foot on the gas in the third quarter, pouring in another 25 points; Page added seven more.
Page scored 20 points for the entire game, one of 11 Blackhawks to score. Wright finished with 16. Devon Hamilton added nine points.
Trent DeCraene did everything, dishing out 15 assists in addition to getting eight points and seven rebounds. Tyler Garner and Damon Winston each had seven rebounds. Wright handed out five assists, while Bell had four assists. Winston blocked two shots.
Sheridan is 9-6 and continues its homestand Wednesday by hosting Southmont.
