The Sheridan girls basketball team rolled to another Hoosier Heartland Conference win Thursday, beating Delphi 67-42 in an away game.
The Blackhawks steadily built a lead during the first three quarters. Sheridan held a 19-12 advantage after the first period, with Brielle Garner hitting two 3-pointers and Cecilia Timme also scoring six points. The ‘Hawks led 38-23 at halftime; Kenzie Garner scored eight points in the second quarter and had 12 at halftime.
Sheridan kept its foot on the gas in the third quarter, leading 57-32 by the end of the period. Kenzie Garner added another nine points. Both teams scored 10 points in the fourth, as the Blackhawks had the game in hand by then.
Three players finished in double figures, with Kenzie Garner scoring 21 points and pulling 12 rebounds for a double-double. Cecilia Timme added 15 points and Brielle Garner hit three 3s on her way to 13 points.
Cecilia Timme collected seven rebounds, with Brielle Garner and Sadie Timme both pulling five rebounds. Kenzie Garner dished out five assists and blocked two shots, with Cecilia Timme handing out four assists. Brielle Garner made four steals.
Sheridan is 6-0 in conference play and 18-1 overall. The Blackhawks are back home on Tuesday, hosting Clinton Central in another HHC contest.
