Sheridan dropped a 27-17 contest at North Miami last weekend.
The game began last Friday but was suspended at halftime due to storms. The Blackhawks were leading 14-7 at halftime; Sheridan got on the board at the 9:19 mark of the first quarter when Owen Bell took the ball four yards in to score.
The Warriors tied the game on a 68-yard touchdown pass midway through the opening quarter. The Blackhawks took the lead again with 3:56 left in the second period. Sheridan recovered a fumble on its own two-yard line, then a few plays later, Jaylen Arnold took off for a 47-yard touchdown run. Bell kicked both extra points in the half.
When play resumed last Saturday, North Miami outscored Sheridan 13-3 to take a 20-17 third quarter lead. Bell kicked a 27-yard field goal with 4:06 left. But the Warriors added a fourth-quarter touchdown to seal the game.
Arnold led the rushing with 99 yards.
Sheridan is 0-2 and hosts Tri-Central Friday to begin Hoosier Heartland Conference play.
