Blackhawks fall to Carroll

Sheridan dropped its Hoosier Heartland Conference finale on Friday, falling at Carroll 68-57.

The Cougars led 15-13 after one quarter; Caleb Wright kept the Blackhawks in it with seven points. Carroll led 27-25 at halftime, with Wright making two 3s in the second quarter.

The Cougars poured in 25 points in the third period. Devon Hamilton scored nine for Sheridan, with Wright scoring eight, including two more 3s. Carroll led 52-43 after three, and both teams scored 15 points in the fourth; Damon Winston scored seven in that quarter.

Wright totaled five 3s on his way to 23 points. Hamilton finished with 13 points and made four steals. Winston had nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots. Chance Spencer collected five rebounds.

Sheridan finished conference play with a 5-2 record and is 13-5 overall. The Blackhawks play Tuesday at Western Boone.
