Blackhawks bring down Stars

The Sheridan girls soccer team took care of Western Boone 4-0 in a Thursday home game.

Norah Stites got the Blackhawks on the board by scoring her first goal of the season. Suri Birmingham scored next, with Cecilia Timme making the assist, then Brielle Garner added a goal, assisted by Sadie Timme. That gave Sheridan 3-0 halftime lead, and Sadie Timme added a second-half goal.

The ‘Hawks play at the Paul Loggan Invitational this weekend at North Central. Sheridan takes on Lafayette Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, then plays Heritage Christian at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

Sheridan’s boys team tied with Western Boone 1-1 on Thursday in an away game.

Blackhawks senior Trai Fitzgerald scored in the 12th minute, of an assist by Angel Cuatle. The Stars tied the game in the 21st minute, and the score stayed tied for the remainder of the game. Sheridan goalkeeper Cayden Spencer made four saves.

Noblesville’s boys played to a 1-1 tie Thursday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game with Brownsburg.

The Millers return home on Tuesday to take on Westfield in another HCC contest, and it will also be Noblesville’s Pink Out game.

Westfield’s girls played to a 0-0 HCC tie with Zionsville on Wednesday.

The Shamrocks are 2-0-1 in the conference and 5-0-1 overall, and host Noblesville on Wednesday.

The Westfield boys beat Zionsville 2-1 in a Wednesday HCC game, then dropped a Thursday game 2-1 to Brebeuf Jesuit.

The Shamrocks are 2-1 in the conference and 3-3 overall and play Tuesday at Noblesville.
