Black raspberry: “thou shalt have no other pies above me”

The Hamilton County Extension Homemakers sponsored a pie contest during the Hamilton County 4-H Fair. Each competitor submitted a homemade pie made from a recipe handed down through the generations along with an essay telling the story of how the pie became part of the family history. Winners were Joani Lawson (first place, pie at left) with Black Raspberry Pie and Kathy Bray (second place, pie at right), also with Black Raspberry Pie.
