Billy G. Salyers, 84, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on November 17, 1936 to Solomen Van Burren Salyers and Maxine (Pope) Salyers in Lee County, Va.
Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired after 35 years from Ford Wire Products in Indianapolis. Billy enjoyed music and singing with his family. He loved sitting on his front porch and never knew a stranger. Billy faithfully attended Pentecostal Light House Church in Noblesville. He loved making jokes, taking long car rides, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Billy is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Gearldean Ruth Salyers; daughter, Tonia Stapleton; son, Jason (Danielle) Salyers; grandchildren, Angel Stapleton, Ashley Benjamin and Katelyn Salyers; great-grandchildren, Garner Lutz, Loain Rundle, Copeland Benjamin and Lennon Benjamin; brother, Tony “Jim” (Omia) Salyers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Deanna Sexton, Emma Ramey, Peggy Cradic, Jackie Martin and Phyllis Hendricks; and his brother, Charles Salyers.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with visitation from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
