Prevail, Inc. has formed a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville’s (BGCN) Teen Center to provide club members with essential education on building and maintaining healthy relationships. Rooted in a shared commitment to youth empowerment, this collaboration equips young people with the knowledge and skills needed to foster respect, communication, and personal growth in their relationships with peers, family, and community.
“As a former staff member at a Club, I know firsthand the value of the BGCN’s supportive environment and impactful programs,” said Baleigh Tolksdorf, Supervisor of Prevention Programming at Prevail. “When the opportunity arose to bring essential lessons on healthy relationships to teens, there couldn’t be a better partner.”
The two organizations most recently partnered for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
“The Boys & Girls Club and Prevail Inc. have mission statements that very much align,” said Maggie Hood, Director of the Teen Center at Boys & Girls Club. “We empower and support our youth, our community to seek safe and healthy relationships. It was a great opportunity to partner with Prevail this last month for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Our Teen members were able to learn the signs of an unhealthy relationship and were given resources to support them when or if they come across these situations! The Roller Skating Dance was an amazing celebration of our collaborative efforts this month, and will be a lasting memory for our Teens! Thank you Prevail for all you do and your support of our BGC Noblesville!”
Amplifying the partnership’s impact, the Teen Center and Prevail held a Glow Together, Grow Together Dance – a celebration of healthy peer-to-peer relationships. Through this event, Prevail and the Boys & Girls Club are creating a fun space where teens can connect, enjoy themselves, and reinforce the importance of respect and kindness in their relationships. This initiative is especially fitting as February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of educating teens about healthy relationships and preventing abuse before it starts.
“The collaboration between Prevail, Inc. and the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville is a testament to the power of community partnerships in creating lasting change,” Prevail Executive Director Tami Wanninger said. “By equipping young people with knowledge and skills, this initiative is laying the foundation for safer, healthier, and more supportive relationships.”
