Beverly Ann (Vaughan) Mishler, 90, Carmel, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. She was born on June 7, 1934 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Bernard M. and B. Ruth (Beamon) Vaughan.
Beverly was a 1956 graduate from Purdue University with Magna Cum Laude honors. Beverly worked for several years as a Registered Dietician for St. Vincent Hospital and Stress Center, and also Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Brown County, Ind.
As a dedicated Oblate of Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove, Beverly also served as a Spiritual Director. She had a special association with The Dwelling Place in Mt. Tabor Monastery in Martin, Ky. Following retirement, Beverly had a true heart and gave of her time as a Hospice Volunteer.
For 29 years, Beverly was a very active member of St. Agnes Parish in Nashville, Ind., before moving back to Carmel.
Above all, Beverly loved God, and she loved spending time in the woods camping and hiking because that was where she felt closest to God. While camping, Beverly enjoyed sitting around the campfire with friends. When she no longer could camp, she continued to enjoy sitting around any fire with the special people in her life whenever she could.
Spending time with family and friends is what brought Beverly so much joy. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie Stark, Marcie Mitchell, Tim (Hoang) Mishler, Randy (Elaine) Mishler, and Audrey (Bruce) Burton; grandchildren, Leslie Inlow, James Mishler, Rachel (David) Tran, Kristen (Jeff) Gater, April Mitchell, Julie (Cole) Way, Chad Mitchell, Amanda (Holden) Graves, Rebecca (Ramon) Ramon, Zara (Johnny) Steverson, Patrick Mishler, Sean (Madison) Burton, Kyle (Eleny) Burton, and Kara (Justin) Welcome; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road, Carmel, where the Celebration of Life Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m.
