Betty Jo Middleton, 92, Cicero, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 23, 1930, in Owensboro, Ky., to Clarence William and Dorothy Mae (Clark) Kennedy. She attended schools in southern Indiana and graduated from Central High School in Evansville, Ind.
Betty Jo was an industrious person and had worked while raising her family. She worked as a pharmacist’s assistant at Wilborn Hospital at Owensboro, Ky., and at Nora Apothecary. She also had worked at Printed Wiring Company in Castleton, Ind., doing her part in making circuit boards.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, scrapbooking, and making various crafts. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and she looked forward to their gatherings.
She married John Thomas Middleton on August 28, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2001. Her parents and her sister, Mary Jean Garcia, also preceded her in death.
Surviving her is a son, Charles Thomas (Elizabeth) Middleton of Cicero; daughters, Margaret Ann (Stephen) Parker of Pearland, Texas, Peggy Sue (Mike) Culver of Orlando, Fla., and Deborah Jo (Duane) Edwards; six grandchildren, Zachary Wiley, Marcy Parker, Erin Middleton, Jon Middleton, Marissa Culver, and Jacquelyn Culver; plus four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Hope Bible Fellowship, 2350 Conner St., Noblesville, with Pastor Don Jennings II officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the services. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.
