Wade Rouse was recently at Basile Westfield Playhouse, 220 N. Union St., Westfield, for a book signing event. Rouse is the internationally best-selling author of nine books, which have been translated into nearly 20 languages. Wade chose his grandmother’s name, Viola Shipman, as a pen name to honor the woman whose heirlooms and family stories inspire his fiction.

Crowds gathered to speak with Rouse and have their copies of his latest book signed.

Rouse took time to speak individually with attendees after his earlier talk to the Playhouse audience.
