Bernard Leon Roudebush

July 19, 1925 – July 7, 2019

Bernard Leon Roudebush, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019. He was born in Noblesville on July 19, 1925 to Paul and Alma (Simmerman) Roudebush.

Bernard worked driving a gravel truck and a semi for most of his married life. He loved the outdoors until just a few years ago, and was an avid fan of hunting, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, camping, motorcycle riding and traveling. Bernard was a lifelong member of Refuge Christian Church. He enlisted in the Army during World War II. Bernard was also a member of Masonic Lodge #57, Eastern Star Radiant 200, the Scottish Rite and the Shrine.

Bernard is survived by his wife, E. Jane (Gilpin) Roudebush, with whom he shared 72 wonderful years; his son, Ron Roudebush; a son-in-law, Clark Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Connie Annette; his stepmother, Viola Woodruff Walters; his brother, Paul Wayne Roudebush; and sisters, Pratha Landis, Mary Marie Eskew and Helen Addison.

The Roudebush family would like to especially thank Bernard’s nephew, Steve Mayhew, for all he has done and the joy he brought to Bernard these past several years.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Refuge Christian Church, 11772 E. 196th St., Noblesville. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
