The Fishers baseball team came back to win its Hoosier Crossroads Conference opener on Thursday, winning 4-3 at Zionsville.
The Tigers scored their first run in the top of the first inning, with Deagan Repp getting home on Zander Carnahan’s RBI groundout. The Eagles put up all three of their runs in the third inning and held that 3-1 lead through the second inning.
Fishers got a run back in the third when Repp scored on an error. Carnahan tied the game in the fourth inning, leading off with a home run. Trevor Hall scored the go-ahead run later in the inning and the Tigers stayed in front from there.
Hall and Luke Cherry both had two hits. Owen Sanders went five innings for the win, throwing three strikeouts. Owen Lukac got three strikeouts in the sixth inning, then Carnahan pitched the seventh, striking out two.
Fishers is 4-0 overall and hosts Zionsville this evening to complete the HCC series.

Westfield began its Tennessee Spring Break trip Thursday with a 10-0, five-inning win over Mount Juliet (Tenn.)
The Shamrocks scored three runs in the first inning, then put up five more in the second inning. Matt Drozlek drove in four runs, including an RBI single in the first inning, then had a two-RBI left field hit in the second inning. In the third inning, Lincoln Hoffman led off with a double, then Drozlek sent him home with another left field hit. Johnny Ewing scored on a passed ball in the fourth inning.
Drozlek finished 3-for-4 at the plate. Anthony Cimini was 3-for-3 and scored one run. Hoffman, Beck Jordan, Ethan Colling and Robbie Brandenburg all hit one double, while Colling and Nick Fero drove in two runs each. Sam Flickinger pitched four innings for the win; he struck out seven, including a strike out of the side in the third inning.
Westfield is 3-0 and plays two games today, taking on Trousdale at 4:30 p.m. and Friendship Christian at 7 p.m.

Hamilton Southeastern dropped its Hoosier Crossroads Conference opener on Thursday, falling to Brownsburg 3-1 at home.
The Bulldogs scored one run each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The Royals did get a run back in the seventh inning: Cy Cole led off with a triple, then scored on Clark Bucher’s sacrifice fly.
Michael Hoog went 4.1 innings, striking out three. Dylan Cope pitched 2.2 innings in relief, with four strikeouts.
Southeastern is 3-3 overall and plays at Brownsburg this evening to complete the series.

Carmel fell to Brebeuf Jesuit 8-1 in a Thursday away game.
The Greyhounds scored their run in the first inning when Parker Heaney doubled home Jay Stein. The Braves tied the game in the third inning, then scored five in the fourth to take control of the game.
Evan Vogt also hit a double. Nolan Sunsdahl pitched 2.2 innings, tossing six strikeouts.
Carmel is 2-1 and hosts North Central this afternoon at Hartman Field.
