The Westfield baseball team dominated its home game with Kokomo Monday, winning 17-1 in five innings.
The Wildkats scored first, with a run in the top of the second inning. After that it was all Shamrocks, with Westfield putting up five runs in the bottom of the second, one run in the third and 11 in the fourth.
Matt Drozlek had a sensational game, hitting two three-run doubles. Drozlek cracked his first double in the second inning, then another one in the fourth inning for a total of six RBIs. Nick Fero and Lincoln Hoffman both scored three runs during the game.
Nathan Bodenberg pitched two and two-thirds innings for the win, striking out seven.
Westfield is 14-10 and begins a Hoosier Crossroads Conference series tonight at Avon.

Sheridan opened play at the Hoosier Heartland Conference tournament Monday with a 12-4 victory over Carroll.
The Blackhawks started strong with four runs in the first inning. Cole Mackintosh doubled in Caleb Alexander for the first run, then Jack Oland’s left field line drive scored Braelan Bochner and Mackintosh. Keegan Stout scored the fourth run when Clinton Slopsema reached on error.
The Cougars got on the board with a third inning run, then scored three in the top of the fifth to tie the game at 4-4. Slopsema got Sheridan back on top in the fifth inning with a right field hit to score Mackintosh.
The Hawks blasted their way to victory by scoring seven runs in the sixth inning. Dayne Voege tripled in Gavin Schwerdtfeger, then scored on a Zach Bales triple. Bochner came in to run for Bales and was soon home on a Mackintosh right field hit.
Oland drew a walk to move Mackintosh to second base. Mackintosh scored after Camden Spencer reached on error, then Stout hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Oland. Chance Spencer reached on error, then both he and Camden Spencer were sent home by Voege’s center field hit; Voege finished with three RBIs.
Mackintosh finished 3-for-4 at the plate, while Camden Spencer hit a double. Bales pitched a complete game for the win.
Sheridan is 13-9 and plays Rossville at 4:45 p.m. this afternoon at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.

Fishers dropped a 2-1 game Monday at Columbus North.
The Bull Dogs scored their first run in the first inning. The Tigers tied the game in the top of the third when Deagan Repp singled in Jase Ruggles. But Columbus North scored the go-ahead run in the fifth inning and held the lead from there.
Fishers is 19-8 and hosts Brownsburg tonight to start an HCC series.

Hamilton Heights fell to Kokomo 16-6 in five innings in a Tuesday away game.
The Huskies scored first, putting up three runs in the first inning. Nick Hulen batted in Phoenix Vondersaar, Dean Mason scored on a passed ball, then Hulen got home on another passed ball.
The Wildkats scored five runs in the second inning, then added two in the third and seven in the fourth for a 14-3 lead. Heights got three runs in the top of the fifth, with Mason scoring the first run of the inning. Hulen was brough in by Luke Davis’ right field hit, then Landon Cook scored when Cohen Boyd reached on error. But Kokomo scored two in the fifth to get the run-rule win.
The Huskies are 13-12 and play a doubleheader at Frankfort on Saturday.
