The IHSAA baseball season begins on Monday, and several Hamilton County teams will be getting on the field right away.
Four local teams start right on Monday. Sheridan is the only one playing at home, welcoming Lapel to its field. Meanwhile, Carmel will travel to Brebeuf Jesuit, defending Class 4A state champion Fishers heads north to Homestead and Noblesville will travel to Cathedral, last year’s 4A state runner-up.
Two more teams first play ball on Tuesday. Guerin Catholic will host Frankton, while Westfield takes on Castle in a home game.
On Thursday, Hamilton Southeastern opens its season by hosting Brownsburg in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game. Also that day, last year’s 1A runner-up University goes on the road to the Viking Classic, a four-day event at Community High School in Unionville, Tenn.
Hamilton Heights will begin next week, hosting Anderson on Thursday, April 4.
