An accomplished author, Goodman has co-written six New York Times bestsellers, including Democracy Now!: Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America. Her books highlight grassroots activism, resistance, and the power of independent journalism.

Goodman has been recognized for groundbreaking reporting throughout her career, earning the George Polk Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Prize for International Reporting, and the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award. She has also been named one of PULSE’s Top 20 Global Media Figures.

The David Letterman Distinguished Lecture Series at Ball State aims to engage students and the broader community in meaningful discussions with influential voices. In 2007, David Letterman made a generous donation to the University, enabling the series to invite top leaders from the media, business, and academia. Since its inception, the series has featured executives from Fortune 500 companies, technological innovators, world-renowned journalists, and many others.
