Atlanta Pacific Rail recently hired Bret Davis as Operations Manager. Davis will oversee the operational side of Nickel Plate Express, a non-profit set to open in September.
Davis brings railroad operational experience to Atlanta Pacific and Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad. He previously served Indiana Rail Road as a train operator, having been both qualified and certified as a locomotive engineer and conductor. During his time at Indiana Rail Road, Davis was responsible for training other operators. A strong leader, Davis was active in Reserve Officer Training Corps at his alma mater, University of Mississippi.
“I look forward to this exciting new opportunity,” said Davis. “My top priority is running a safe and enjoyable train operation here in Hamilton County.”
Atlanta Pacific Rail operates rail service for Nickel Plate Express. Atlanta Pacific Rail is owned by long-time railroad operator, Tom Hoback.
