In his new role, Dillard will focus on building out and continuing the long-term strategy of a robust and secure network infrastructure, and work to ensure a transparent and scalable service management team that aims to present results to support the organization’s mission of providing comprehensive healthcare including behavioral health, primary medical care, and addiction services.

Aspire undertook a years-long plan to shift the nonprofit healthcare organization’s IT to a nimble, 100 percent cloud-based system with no internal servers. As a result, the organization was able to transition to delivering care through a telehealth model within days of the onset of pandemic. Aspire continues to serve patients through scaled-up Video in Person appointments or at one of its seven Central Indiana health centers.

“Aspire has been a leader, not a follower, in advancing technology systems that make it easier than ever for patients from every walk of life to access the healthcare they deserve,” Dillard said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to continue that journey and help lead the way.”

Dillard was previously Chief Information Officer at another local health clinic system, and previously held leadership roles at other large healthcare providers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in BioMedical Engineering Technology from IUPUI and a master’s degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University.

“Demetrius’ deep experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and innovating ways to align business and technology strategy with the mission of a nonprofit healthcare provider is going to be a tremendous asset for Aspire,” said Chief Quality Officer Jim Skeel.
