Ascension St. Vincent YMCA to open in Westfield on Jan. 4

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis will hold its grand opening of its newest facility, the Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at 874 Virginia Rose Ave., Westfield.

This modern community center represents a significant milestone in advancing health, wellness, and community connection for Westfield and the surrounding areas.

Purposefully designed to reflect the needs and aspirations of the community, the Ascension St. Vincent YMCA offers an array of amenities to support healthy lifestyles, foster relationships, and inspire personal growth.

Key features include:

  • A fully equipped wellness center with state-of-the-art free weights and cardio equipment.
  • Group exercise studios for fitness classes catering to all levels and interests.
  • A gymnasium for sports and recreational activities.
  • An indoor walking track, providing a safe and inviting space for physical activity year-round.
  • A teaching kitchen designed to host cooking demonstrations and nutrition classes.
  • A Play & Learn Center, offering childcare services while parents engage in fitness and wellness activities.
  • Community gathering spaces to encourage collaboration, connection, and a sense of belonging.

The Grand Opening event will commence at 11 a.m. and will feature a variety of activities to honor this exciting new chapter for the Westfield community. Highlights include:

  • Flag-raising ceremony
  • Remarks from community leaders emphasizing the YMCA’s commitment to strengthening the community, including: Gregg Hiland, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis; Stephen Masoncup, Ascension St. Vincent, and Westfield Mayor Scott Willis.
  • Ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking the facility’s opening.
  • Tours of the facility, offering a firsthand look at the many resources and opportunities available at this dynamic community hub.
