As Carmel’s mayor, Glynn pledges to increase patrols & keep residents safe

Fred Glynn, candidate for Carmel mayor, says he is committed to keeping Carmel residents safe and secure in their city.

Glynn says he is aware that the neighboring city of Indianapolis is struggling with violent crime, and residents are concerned about that crime spilling into Carmel. As a result, he has made public safety a top priority in his campaign for mayor.

“The situation in Indianapolis regarding crime and public safety continues to get progressively worse because city leadership won’t take it seriously,” Glynn said. “The shooting incident on 96th street Thursday night is just another example of why we need to increase patrols in Carmel to stop the crime that keeps spilling over into our community from our Indianapolis neighbor. When I’m Carmel mayor, I will not wait for their action to keep our city safe from Indianapolis crime. I will immediately move to increase patrols and do whatever is necessary to keep our residents and community safe from the crime that inevitably spills over from Indianapolis.”

Glynn says he believes his close relationship with local law enforcement will enable him to effectively implement his public safety plans. He has pledged to work closely with the Carmel Police Department to increase patrols, provide additional resources, and ensure that Carmel is well-equipped to handle any crime that may come its way.

“I am committed to ensuring that Carmel residents feel safe and secure in their city,” Glynn said. “As mayor, I will be a friend of the local law enforcement and work tirelessly to keep our community safe.”

Glynn says that with his public safety plans, Carmel residents can rest assured that their safety will be a top priority under his leadership, and that his commitment to increasing patrols and working closely with law enforcement will ensure that Carmel remains a safe and welcoming community.
