Andrea Marley, Executive Director of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy (HCLA), a leadership development program which identifies and prepares informed leaders for the community and has more than 700 graduates, has announced her departure from the organization. Marley has been with HCLA since 2018 and served as Program Coordinator prior to being named Executive Director in 2020.
“Andrea has been an incredible ambassador for HCLA, navigating our organization through a period of growth and a global pandemic with the support of our board and executive committee,” says Alaina Shonkwiler, HCLA’s Board President. “She has infused her passion in HCLA and used her creative energy and strengths to enhance engagement with class participants, community stakeholders, and our board. We will always hold Andrea Marley in high regard, her thoughtfulness, passion, and grace will be imprinted on HCLA for years to come.”
A search will begin immediately for a new executive director and a solid plan is in place to ensure stability for the organization as the HCLA Class of 2022 launches later this month. According to Shonkwiler, HCLA is positioned for future growth and the board is committed to finding a true visionary poised to carry the organization forward.
Marley says she plans to pursue a future in the field of technology. Her last day with HCLA will be Sept. 8.
