Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) has received its first gift towards its upcoming capital campaign project from Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino and Caesars Entertainment Inc.’s Caesars Foundation.
The $10,000 gift is the first major gift received towards Phase I of the capital campaign project. The gift will directly support the organization’s efforts to preserve its historic Carnegie Library building by replacing the flat parts of the roof.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino and Caesars Entertainment Inc’s Caesars Foundation,” AMOA Executive Director Mandee Mikulski said. “AMOA has been working for several months to develop a capital campaign that will address many of the goals set forth in our strategic plan, including replacing parts of the roof of our building. We are thrilled to share our intentions for the next phases of the campaign with everyone in the community. Our plans for the future utilize the arts to benefit our community and our children in new and innovative ways.”
AMOA’s plans for growth will be shared with supporters of the arts during its annual Supporter Night set for Sept. 29. Tickets will be available for purchase by Aug. 1 at AndersonArt.org.
