Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) will hold its annual Supporter Night from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 in Downtown Anderson.
The event will include a celebration of the arts with a special awards presentation, a guest speaker, experiential learning opportunities, live music, hors d’oeuvres, updates on the museum’s upcoming plans for program expansion, and much more.
AMOA’s Board of Directors would like to welcome the public to visit the museum for this special event to celebrate individuals who have helped build the Anderson art community. The museum’s leadership will also share exciting news on AMOA’s upcoming endeavors to enhance the museum’s offerings available to the community. Special guest speaker, Lauren Daugherty, Board-certified Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, will share her expertise on the therapeutic opportunities the arts provide for families.
Nominations for AMOA’s Art Excellence Awards will be accepted until Aug. 31. AMOA will recognize an AMOAzing artist, volunteer, and AMOA Board of Directors member who has gone above and beyond to support the Anderson Museum of Art and its mission to enrich the community through the visual arts. The winners will be recognized at this year’s AMOA Supporter Night. Nominations can be submitted online at andersonart.org/supporter-night.
