The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) has announced a collaborative professional development opportunity with the Art Education Association of Indiana, Inc. The event, designed for art educators, offers insight into facilitating safe risk-taking and developing a playful curriculum planning process.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at AMOA, 32 W. 10th St., Anderson.
Hannah Richardson, Assistant Professor of Art Education and Pre-Art Therapy at Taylor University, will lead the session alongside AMOA interns Trey Whitted and Moirah Cooke. Participants are invited to rediscover the personal and instructional benefits of playful artmaking through interactive art activities and a discussion of current research that encourages learning through play.
This event is free for all art educators in Eastern Indiana, offering a valuable opportunity for professional growth and networking. The generous sponsorship by Anderson Community Schools enhances the accessibility of this enriching experience. Light refreshments will be provided.
