Altrusa Club of Hamilton County celebrated Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11 at their regular meeting.
We were happy to welcome four guests! Unfortunately, our 98-year-old speaker was not well enough to attend, so we shared our own personal stories of family and friend veterans. We were glad to send in a donation to HVAF, which will be used to personally benefit veterans in Indiana.
Also, our club celebrated its 35th birthday with cake and with one charter member present. Altrusans brought in personal care items to give to Prevail. Our club added 15 $20 gift cards to either Walmart or Aldi’s. These donations will help make a merrier Christmas for Prevail’s clients!
If you would like more information on becoming a member of Altrusa and making your community better, we are sponsoring a coffee on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Carmel Christian Church, 463 Main St. Come anytime from 10 a.m. to noon. At this coffee, Altrusa will collect additional new personal care items and gift certificates for Prevail.
