Allen C. List, 77, Fishers, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. He was born on July 21, 1946, to Paul and Charlotte (McDaniel) List in Indianapolis.
Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where he was active in Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. For 30 years, Allen worked in dairy marketing. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and on the church council and was a board member of Waterview Estates. Allen enjoyed fishing and loved his family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Jean List; daughters, Angela List (Chad) Sheets, Ashley (Matt) Ray, and Amanda (Keith) Hood; grandchildren, Gavin, Reese, Quinna Marie, and Addison; sisters, Patty Andrews and Rosie (Don) Stutler; and his sister-in-law, Diana Geren.
In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his sisters, Cathie Britton and Paula Batten.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville. Pastor Doug Gast will officiate. The family requests a casual dress code for those attending.
The family requests any donations be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, an organization Allen felt strongly about.
