Allan D. Stamper, 62, of Sheridan, Indiana, passed away on June 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Allan was born on January 27, 1955 to the late Van and Evelyn (Waters) Stamper in New Castle, Indiana. Allan was a graduate of the Tri Jr/Sr High School Class of 1974. Alan enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably. Alan was a heavy machine operator and a member of Union Local 103. Alan was a proud member of the Sheridan American Legion Post 67. He was also member of the NRA.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie (Powell) Stamper; his children, Michael Stamper of Noblesville, IN, Josh Stamper of Lapel, IN, Susie Stamper of Lapel, IN, Angel (Dennis) Adkins of Anderson, IN, Spring Rose Stamper of Anderson, IN, Amy (Wes) Reist of Lewisville, IN; stepson, Allen (Kilee) Powell of Sheridan, IN, stepdaughters, Kristy Lawson of Sheridan, IN, and Mindy (Joe) Ridge of Sheridan, IN. Allan was a proud grandfather and great grandfather. Allan is also survived by his sibling, Dennis Stamper of Cambridge, IN, Lloyd Stamper of Cambridge, IN, Paula Rae Thomas of Florida and Vanda Carnes of New Castle, Indiana. Preceding Allan in death was his sister, Barbara Mays and his two brothers, Jeffrey Dean and Darrell Wayne Stamper.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Veteran’s Park, 103 W. 1st St., Sheridan, Indiana. Fisher Family Funeral Services of Sheridan, IN is honored to serve the Stamper Family.
