Albert Balph, 82, Tipton, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel. He was born on May 23, 1939 to Walter and Grace (Wiseman) Balph in New Jersey.
Al proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a past member of the American Legion, and attended Purdue University. Al was a truck driver most of his life, and also worked as an engineering draftsman. He was also a past Chatham County Deputy. Al was a member of First Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Anna) Balph, Jeff (Sara) Balph, Angela (Neil) Sunday, and Dawn Eagleman; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Elaine Keyes.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Ann Balph, in 2018.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, with services at noon, on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial with Military Rites will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville.
