The Hamilton County Bicentennial Commission has announced its lineup of grant-funded and community events for May 2023.
Adams Township, located in the northwestern section of Hamilton County and home to Sheridan, is being celebrated during May. During the month, the Bicentennial Commission will highlight Adams Township events from vintage cars to murals to frisbee golf. The traveling exhibit will also tour during the month. Bicentennial Traveling Exhibit

Storyteller Debby Gullery from Storytelling Arts of Indiana will lead the public in an interactive workshop on family histories and the importance of passing stories through generations.

See artist Melinda Spear-Huff’s 8-by-7-foot mural portraying transportation history in Sheridan, specifically the bus line that had a stop right next to her studio. Also enjoy activities including a Model T and antique car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Veteran’s Park, the dedication of new veteran banners, and the Sheridan alumni banquet at 5 p.m. at Sheridan Elementary School. Disc Golf Tournament At Biddle Park
