Dear Editor:
I first got to know Scott Baldwin over a cup of coffee as Rosie’s.
It was in that booth that he shared his passion for supporting our nation’s troops, backing Indiana’s public safety officials, and protecting Noblesville’s business owners and families.
And while other candidates may slap these stances on campaign literature, it’s different coming from Scott.
He’s lived them.
He has served our country as an active duty Marine abroad. He has protected the streets of central Indiana as an IMPD officer. He has built and sold multiple businesses, and most importantly, is a really good husband and dad.
Those reasons, and many more, are why I’m grateful that he is running for reelection to represent Noblesville in the state senate.
In the year ahead, the Indiana General Assembly is on course to consider important topics like healthcare, property taxes, and energy.
These are significant issues, many without a clear-cut answer – especially when the legislature has to weigh the impacts of the legislative initiatives for different communities around the state. Hoosiers deserve solutions that are nuanced and Scott is the one to bring those to the table.
Scott Baldwin is a man of character and experience. I’m proud to cast my vote for him and encourage you to do the same.
Aaron Smith
