Hamilton Southeastern cruised to another high-scoring victory last weekend, beating North Central 49-26 in a home game.
The game began last Friday before storms halted it in the second quarter, pushing it back to last Saturday. The Royals were unbothered by it all, dominating the first three quarters with multiple touchdowns in each one.
Chandler Weston threw for three touchdowns in the first half. His first TD was a 32-yard throw to Callen Okerson; that followed a two-yard scoring run by Brennan Baker to get Southeastern on the board. As a result, the Royals led 14-0 after one quarter.
Southeastern put up 21 points in the second period. Weston made short touchdown throws to Carter Reed and Liam Boyd, with Vaughn Johnson making a 14-yard scoring run in between. The Panthers did score a couple touchdowns in the quarter, but HSE held a 35-13 halftime lead.
Reed got going in the third quarter with a pair of long touchdown runs, reaching the end zone from 29 yards and 25 yards. He totaled 115 yards of rushing on 11 carries.
Weston had a solid game, making 10 of 15 passes for 84 yards and three TDs. Hugo Belmonte went 7-for-7 on extra-point kicks.
Southeastern is 2-0 and begins Hoosier Crossroads Conference play Friday at Avon.
