June 8, 1956 – February 2, 2022
A. Clark Harris, 65, Cicero, passed away on February 2, 2022, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born on June 8, 1956, in Harlan, Ky., to Frank and Nellie Mae (Turner) Harris. He attended schools in Louisville, Ky., and graduated from Southern High School, followed by three years at Louisville University. He then joined the military and honorably served his country.
Clark, as he was fondly known, started his own business installing drywall and painting homes. When they were old enough, he involved his sons in the business, teaching them best practices and the value of work well done.
Clark always was busy. He loved to work and he loved his job. He also enjoyed doing home projects and tending his vegetable garden. His family related that he was a very giving person. He loved helping them with projects and he also loved helping others. He enjoyed just being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved animals and he considered his dogs his babies.
He married Tina Marie (Glaze) Harris on October 24, 1986. She survives him. Also surviving are sons, Jerry Turner of Cicero, and Andrew Harris of Frankton, Ind.; daughters, Crystal Bannon of Cicero, and Alisia Turner of Noblesville; brothers, Mike Harris of Atlanta, and Frank Harris of Louisville, Ky.; sisters, Jenny Harris of Ohio, and Joyce Gipson of Colorado; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
