Sheridan lost a tough game at Kokomo’s Memorial Gym on Tuesday, falling to the Wildkats 72-66 in overtime.
It was a close contest throughout, with the Blackhawks leading 13-12 after the first quarter. The game was tied 29-29 at halftime. Sheridan led late in the fourth period, but the Wildkats scored five points in the final minute of regulation to tie the game, then outscored the ‘Hawks 12-6 in the extra period.
Audrey Reed poured in 37 points to lead the Sheridan scoring, including two 3-pointers. Jillian O’Flaherty threw in three 3s for nine points. Nixon Williams added seven points and pulled 10 rebounds, with Reed collecting nine rebounds. Allie Delph handed out four assists and Williams blocked two shots.
The Blackhawks are 13-5 and play at McCutcheon on Thursday.
