The Westfield Washington School Board has been recognized by the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to student success and good governance.
ISBA’s Exemplary Governance Awards (EGA) program annually honors school boards that engage in professional learning and development in their role as leaders of public education.
“School boards perform a vital public service by acting on behalf of the state and the community as the local policy-making body for their schools,” ISBA Executive Director Terry Spradlin said. “It is important for school board members to actively participate in continuing education in order to perform their duties effectively.”
