Carmel took care of business at Center Grove on Friday night, beating the Trojans 64-41 in a Metropolitan Conference game.
The Class 4A No. 2 Greyhounds were in control from the beginning, holding a 21-12 lead after the first quarter and a 34-19 advantage at halftime. Amy Dilk scored 20 points for Carmel, including three 3-pointers, with Tomi Taiwo adding 16.
Reagan Hune had a great defensive game, grabbing eight rebounds and making four steals, in addition to dishing out four assists. Taiwo had six rebounds, while Dilk handed out six assists and pulled five rebounds.
The ‘Hounds are now 4-1 in the MIC, behind only Pike, which leads the conference at 4-0. Overall, Carmel is 17-1 and will host Fort Wayne South Side at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.
