Starting Monday, Jan. 8, temporary visitor restrictions will take effect at Community Hospital North, Community Hospital East, Community Hospital South, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. The CDC flu map shows flu activity is now widespread in Indiana. Community Health Network’s “patient first” policy means changes for those visiting network hospitals.
Community Health Network is working closely with the Marion County Health Department and is joining other Indianapolis hospitals in implementing Tier One of the Patient Visitation Policy. Here are the restrictions that will go into effect at Indianapolis and Kokomo hospitals on Monday:
- No visitors with flu-like illness, fever, or cough
- No visitors under age 18
- Only immediate family or partner will be allowed to see patient
These visitor restrictions took effect at Community Hospital Anderson on Dec. 30, 2017. The restrictions are part of an effort to keep the hospital environment as healthy as possible for patients.
