Westfield dropped a triple overtime game to Tipton 47-44 at The Rock on Saturday.
It was back-and-forth regulation. The Shamrocks were up 16-14 at halftime before the Blue Devils jumped ahead 29-25 after three quarters. Westfield came back to tie the game at 38-38, forcing overtime. Both teams only scored two points in the first OT and none in the second OT, with Tipton outscoring Westfield 7-4 in the third extra period.
Zach Banks scored 12 points for the ‘Rocks, with Caleb Welch hitting three 3-pointers on his way to 10 points. Camden Simons pulled eight rebounds, with Josh Van Dyke corralling six and Jack Reinohel getting five.
Westfield is now 3-4 for the season and is off until Dec. 28, when it plays at Frankton.
