All-County Football Team announced
The Hamilton County Reporter has selected Hamilton Southeastern junior Donovan Hamilton as its 2022 Player of the Year.
Hamilton was a dominant wide receiver for the Royals. He finished the season with 50 receptions, including 10 for touchdowns, and was a major part of Southeastern rolling to a 12-1 season, including an unbeaten Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship, plus sectional and regional titles.
Royals coach Michael Kelly called Hamilton a “dynamic” football player that did a significant job for the team in the passing game, with big-time catches, and a player that created challenges for the team’s opponents on defense.
“He oftentimes would pull two out because of his ability to create big plays,” said Kelly.
