Marian P. Farrell, 89, of Zionsville, IN, passed away March 2, 2017. She was born on December 22, 1927, in Peoria, IL, to Robert and Lola Allton Prewett.
Marian was a 1946 graduate of Peoria High School and attended Bradley University. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority and was the Dream Girl of Theta Chi Fraternity.
Marian was gifted in and had a passion for writing. Her writings included more than 300 poems and stories which many were published in the Indianapolis Star and Zionsville Times. Marian worked as secretary-treasurer of J.M. Farrell Co. Contractors. She also volunteered for a number of years at the Zionsville Police Department.
In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Prewett.
Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Renna; son, Daniel (Marie); 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Zionsville United Methodist Church where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Zionsville.
