More than 150 people attended the sixth annual Cancer Care Cup Charity Dinner, Auction & Golf Outing on Aug. 28 and 29 at The Bridgewater Club. Together, the dinner, auction and golf outing raised $42,000 through dinner ticket sales, sponsorships, silent auction items and golfer participation.

Ed McLaughlin, Co-Founder of Predictive InSight and Executive Advisor with NEXERA, gave an encouraging speech at dinner. He issued a $3,000 in 3 Minutes Challenge, and guests graciously donated over $3,500. Dave & Rae provided entertainment, and the next day golfers participated in the golf outing.

“We really want to thank our supporters and sponsors,” Cancer Care Cup Vice President Karen Keinsley said. “Without their support we wouldn’t be able to help so many oncology patients in need.”

About Cancer Care Cup
Cancer Care Cup, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established in 2017 to assist cancer patients receiving oncology treatment. To date, the organization has contributed over $175,000 to patient assistance funds helping with expenditures that would otherwise be financially difficult for the patient or caregivers. Those receiving help from the patient assistance fund have used funds to pay for hotel stays, transportation, medical devices, gas, and meals while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The Cancer Care Cup volunteer board is staffed by cancer survivors, caregivers and supporters who have witnessed first-hand the devastating emotional and financial toll a cancer diagnosis can take. Group members say they are motivated to help support oncology patients and their families.

“We believe no one should fight alone! If you are an oncology patient or caregiver needing assistance please contact us, we are here for you,” Cancer Care Cup Co-Founder Gina Terril said.
