Beneta J. McConnell, 92, Indianapolis, passed away November 18, 2017. She was born on September 27, 1925 in Carmel, daughter of Edgar and Anna Wilson Cotton.
Beneta was a 1943 graduate of Carmel High School and then graduated from Butler University in 1947. In her younger years, Beneta worked for Browns Pharmacy in Carmel. She also worked at Butler University, L.S. Ayres and Wm. H. Block Company.
In addition to her parents, Beneta was preceded in death by her son, Kevin H. McConnell and sister, Marion L. Cotton.
Survivors include granddaughter, Lisa (James) Dubose of Otto, N.C.; grandson, Ryan (Justyn) McConnell of West Palm Beach, Fla.; great-grandson, Chandler Dubose of Otto, N.C.; great-granddaughter, Sara McConnell of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brother, Jay Cotton of Carmel; sister, Clella (Jim) Lewis of Carmel; daughter-in-law, Jean McConnell of West Palm Beach, Fla.; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Family Gathering was held in Bussell Family Funerals. A Committal Service took place in Carmel Cemetery.
